Claude Connector

Connect BlazeSQL to Claude to analyze database data, run read-only SQL, and create interactive visualizations directly in the chat.

How It Works

Claude uses BlazeSQL’s MCP tools to inspect the database structure you have access to, write a read-only SQL query, and run it against your selected database. The result appears in Claude with a data table and the generated SQL. Claude then explains the findings and can create an interactive graph when you ask for one.

User Management & Authentication

All users who try to use BlazeSQL via Claude will be asked to log in to their BlazeSQL account or create one.

Setting Up BlazeSQL in Claude

Step 1: Open Connectors in Claude

Go to claude.ai, click the Customize icon in the sidebar, then select Connectors. Click the + button and choose Add custom connector.

Step 2: Browse connectors to add the BlazeSQL connector

Add the BlazeSQL connector, login, and select your database.

If your database is only connected on the desktop app and not the web app, make sure you disable offline mode in settings and keep the desktop app open.

Step 3: Ask data questions in Claude!

Once connected, simply ask Claude a question about your data. Claude will inspect the relevant database structure, generate and run a read-only SQL query through BlazeSQL, and explain the results. You can also ask Claude to create an interactive graph, use an existing saved query, or inspect a BlazeSQL dashboard.
