Access Groups

Access Groups

Groups allow you to manage data access permissions for multiple members at once. Instead of configuring access for each user individually, admins can assign permissions to a group, and all members of that group will inherit them.

How Groups Work

Admins can use groups to control precisely what data members can query and access within BlazeSQL.

With groups, an admin can:

  • Grant query access to entire databases.
  • Restrict access to specific tables and columns within a database.
  • Add any member, whether a User or a **Dashboard Viewer, **to one or more groups.

This is ideal for organizing your workspace by team (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Support).

Group Limits

  • Enterprise Workspaces: Can create an unlimited number of groups.
  • All Other Workspaces: Receive one default group for free. You can upgrade to an Enterprise plan to create more.
